Acephale / Abu Nuwas

This album is an artistic and conceptual journey with references to Georges Bataille's Acéphale, the poems by Abu Nuwas, Franco Battiato and Aleister Crowley.
The tones of the compositions presented on the two sides are clearly and explicitly opposed: on one side, anguish, depression, anxiety; on the other, exaltation, intoxication, euphoria.
One side sounds like an old dark and gloomy CURRENT 93 disc, while the other side sounds like a bunch of old synth pop tunes by the queery freaky old PSYCHIC TV.
